The Indonesian cartoon industry is currently considered to have experienced quite rapid progress, especially in recent years. This was conveyed by Mice Misrad, a senior cartoonist widely known for his works on Mice Cartoon. According to him, significant developments are clearly visible thanks to the presence of digital platforms and social media, which have opened up a wide space for young creators to showcase their work. Now, many young cartoonists and comic artists are emerging with fresh, unique, and entertaining styles. Some of these that are quite popular among the public are Si Juki, Tahilalats, Sampahisasi, and Si Nopal, all of which developed through digital channels.

Mr. Mice also revealed that the main difference between the world of cartoons today and the past lies in the medium of distribution. In the past, cartoons were more commonly found in print media such as newspapers and magazines, particularly in Sunday editions, which often featured a dedicated cartoon section. However, conventional media is now being phased out, and public attention is increasingly focused on digital platforms, such as Instagram, YouTube, and webtoons, which allow for wider and more instant distribution of works.

As a message to young cartoonists and creators, Mr. Mice emphasized the importance of creating works that are not only entertaining but also beneficial. "Work for others, not just for yourself," he said. He hopes young creators can present meaningful stories and add value to the wider community.
