What is an Instagrammable House?

An Instagrammable home is often misunderstood as simply a home that "takes pictures." However, its essence is much deeper. An Instagrammable home is a space that reflects the mood, lifestyle, and comfort of its owner, not just a display. Aesthetics isn't about expensive furniture, but about creatively arranging simple elements harmoniously. As Marie Kondo says, "Surround yourself with things that spark joy." This means that when your home makes you happy, its appearance will shine.

Why is an Instagrammable Home Important?

According to a survey by the Home Furnishings Association, 75% of millennials admit to being influenced by influencers' home photos when purchasing furniture. Trends like cozy minimalism and biophilic design , which frequently go viral on Instagram, are not only visually appealing but also have a positive psychological impact. A well-organized home can improve mood, productivity, and even personal image, especially for those working or running a business from home.

Here are the first 3 tricks to make your home more Instagrammable without major renovations:

Natural lighting is key. Open the blinds wide, use sheer white curtains, and paint the walls a neutral color to allow light to reflect effectively. If you have minimal windows, use warm white (2700–3000K) lighting for a warm atmosphere.

2.   Beautify with Indoor Plants

Plants like snake plants, monstera, or pothos can instantly beautify a room. Place them not only on the floor but also on shelves, tables, or hanging them. Use rattan pots or rope hangers for a more aesthetic look.

3.     Use the 60:30:10 Color Formula

Divide the room's colors into: 60% The dominant color, which serves as the main background, is usually used on walls, floors, or large furniture like sofas. 30% The secondary color, which complements the dominant color, can be applied to curtains, carpets, or chairs. 10% The accent color, which provides the finishing touch, is suitable for pillows, vases, or other small decorations. This combination helps create a harmonious and photogenic space.
