The Jakarta Provincial Department of Food Security, Maritime Affairs, and Agriculture is once again holding the Urban Farming Festival, now in its fourth year. The three-day event will take place from July 10 to 12, 2025, at the Nyi Ageng Serang Building in Setiabudi, South Jakarta. This year's festival carries the theme "Global Synergy Towards Sustainable Green Cities," highlighting cross-sector collaboration to create a sustainable urban agricultural ecosystem.

Fifty tenants will be present at the festival, including 20 booths from participating companies and sponsors. Visitors will be treated to a variety of exciting activities, including an urban agricultural product bazaar, talk shows, various competitions, and animal health services such as male cat sterilization and free pet vaccinations.
Interestingly, visitors can also take home free plant and fish seeds, although the number is limited each day. Simply by consulting about urban farming, visitors have the opportunity to receive free seeds as a form of support for independent farming in the city.

The event also featured several public figures with a strong commitment to environmental and agricultural issues. Among them were Ramon Y Tungka, an actor active in environmental conservation; Tengku Tezi, an actor and chicken farmer; and Lola Maria, a food processing entrepreneur and production house owner.
To attract the interest of the younger generation, this festival presents a series of creative and educational competitions, such as a coloring competition for elementary school students, a speech competition for junior high school students, a manual coffee brewing competition for high school students, and an agricultural innovation competition specifically for university students.
