Jakarta, July 8, 2025 — The Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Mr. Rano Karno, paid a visit to the arts and culture exhibition entitled “Cerita Kita di Jakarta (Our Stories in Jakarta)” held at 2Madison Gallery, Kemang.
He observed various works of art on display, including paintings with themes of Jakarta city life, a collection of typical Betawi batik, and ceramic crafts that display the nuances of Betawi culture and Jakarta as a whole.

In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the exhibition and emphasized the importance of cultural preservation ahead of Jakarta's 500th anniversary in 2027. "As we approach Jakarta's 500th anniversary in 2027, events like this serve as an important rehearsal for our city's five-century anniversary. Hopefully, through cultural activities like this, we can build and preserve Jakarta together," said the Deputy Governor.

He also invited all Jakartans to attend and enjoy the "Our Stories in Jakarta" exhibition as part of an effort to recognize and appreciate the city's cultural heritage. This exhibition serves as a space for collective reflection on Jakarta's long history and a means of strengthening cultural identity amidst the dynamics of the metropolis.
