Abdurrohman Wahid is an artist and teacher at a public school in Bekasi. His love of fine art began as a child, but he only pursued it seriously while studying Fine Arts Education at UNJ. Initially, he intended to become a pure artist, but was shocked to realize his major was actually leading to a teaching career. In fact, he took a two-year leave during his final project due to doubts about continuing.

During his leave, Wahid actively began creating works and participating in exhibitions. He won his first award in 2012. Although his first exhibition was held in 2008, it was still on campus. After that, he became more serious about pursuing the fine arts. As a teacher, his experience as an artist adds value. He teaches practical materials such as drawing and modeling by demonstrating his skills directly. This earns students greater respect and motivation. Moreover, many students first learned about him through social media.

The main challenge is time. Teaching Monday through Friday takes up long hours, while creating art requires focus and a separate space. She also teaches extra lessons at Tomato Art School. Not to mention family commitments; painting can only be done at night after the children are in bed.

Although it is not easy, Wahid carries out these two roles with high commitment and maintains a balance between inspiring in the classroom and creating in the studio.
